Victoria Baek
Violinist Victoria Baek captivated audiences and music critics alike with her dynamic and engaging performances. Her list of national and international competition successes includes the Marina Yudina Ensemble Competition 2005 in St.Petersburg, 3rd Prize of the Korean National Violin Competition in 2000, South Korea, First class of the graduation concert in St. Petersburg. In addition to her competition successes, Victoria has been awarded scholarships such as the OMC Scholarship of the Year 2010 in Korea, and the participated at the Summit Music Festival in USA.
As a soloist, Victoria Haeyoung Baek performed at many notable venues such as Philharmonic hall in St Petersburg, and Tchaikovsky Great Hall in Moscow, as well as the Sage gateshead, Barbican, Royal Albert hall, Westerminster and many others in London and She performed at the Cornwall G7 Summit in 2022.
She participated in various national and international music festivals such as Edinburgh Festival and played with many outstanding ensemble musicians from London Symphony ,Royal Philharmonic to name a few.
Since establishing her own London based Music Academy in 2013, Victoria fulfils her role as the director by teaching highly skilled and talented children from young age and promoting upcoming concerts, contributing to the music in communities.
Born in South Korea, Victoria began learning the violin and piano at the age of three, beginning her professional career at the age of nine, her musical abilities being nurtured with continuous recital and performances that have resulted in her love for the stage and entertaining others. Victoria studied with Yongwoo Jeon in Korea, the concertmaster of KBS Symphony. She then moved to Russia to continue her studies with Professor A.M Kazarina in St.Petersburg from the age of 17, where she took part in numerous coaching with St.Petersburg Philharmonic and Mariinsky Theatre musicians. Victoria has completed her master's degree with Jacqueline Ross at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
